Berbel is a true specialist in extractor hoods, much like Gutmann or Novy. The company focuses exclusively on kitchen ventilation, setting itself apart with unique characteristics not commonly found in the market. A hallmark of Berbel extractor hoods is their innovative technology – the so-called Berbel Principle. Unlike the systems used by other manufacturers like Miele or Bosch, Berbel extractor hoods operate using centrifugal force. Cooking vapors are drawn through a narrow gap in the hood, accelerated, and redirected in a curved motion. This force effectively removes contaminants such as grease and oil particles from the air. These particles are then deposited on the upper and lower shells and collected in the trap, known as the Capillar Trap.

The Berbel Skyline Edge is a popular, nearly invisible island hood that doesn’t immediately reveal its function. When activated, the extractor hood descends from the ceiling via four cables, positioning itself approximately 45 cm above the cooktop to ensure clean air while cooking, before retracting back into its niche. Its design features a sleek rectangular form with a sophisticated light slit that provides indirect LED lighting.
