The first extendable extractor hoods made of glass - you can now get them from the brands Gaggenau, Siemens, Bosch and Neff. All have developed an elegant table fan that effectively extracts cooking fumes and looks extremely stylish in the room. Because it is made of transparent glass, it offers a full field of view of the area behind the hob. While cooking, for example, you can chat with your guests in complete privacy while you fry the steak in the pan. In addition to the elegant shape, the glass downdraft extractors offer another highlight: Effective LED lights create an incomparable atmosphere when cooking. And when you move to the table and no longer need the extractor hood, the glass table fan disappears invisibly in the kitchen cupboard. Until it is used again.

The Guided Air Principle
It's not just the external shape of the glass extractor hood that's modern, but also the technology inside. It's called Guided Air. An air stream runs behind the glass screen, preventing cooking fumes and smells from rising. This creates a negative pressure that sucks up the bad cooking air. It doesn't matter where it comes from on the hob. The principle can be combined with both exhaust air and recirculation hob extractors.
Mood lighting when cooking
The glass table fan achieves special (light) effects with the emotionLight Pro, as the Siemens brand calls it. This allows you to set a variety of colors, depending on the mood you want to create in the kitchen. You can even select your own colors using the Home Connect app. There are over 256 colors available for this.
Smart table fan with Home Connect
The hob with glass extractor hood becomes even smarter when you connect it to the WiFi. The smart technology allows the hob and extractor hood to communicate with each other via WiFi, for example. The table fan switches on when the hob switches on and can then be conveniently operated using the hob controls. You can also operate the glass table fan using voice, as the device responds to voice commands. Provided it is connected to a voice app such as Amazon Alexa or Google Home.
Automatic hood control
Another plus point is the automatic cooktop extractor. The extraction performance is automatically adjusted to the cooking behavior. This is made possible by the integrated air quality sensor, which continuously measures the intensity of cooking fumes and odors in the air. Practical, isn't it? This saves you a lot of time thinking about which level you need to set the extractor hood to and always has the most efficient and energy-saving power level activated.
Gaggenau AL 200 glass table fan
The AL 200 is a minimalist extractor hood from the Gaggenau 200 series. An 80 cm wide ventilation system made of black anodized aluminum extracts cooking fumes and odors from the hob and blends in visually with the flush-mounted Gaggenau induction hobs. When switched on, an elegant glass screen extends out, which lowers back into the kitchen cabinet once cooking is finished. The Gaggenau AL200180 table fan models are available in 80 cm width and the Gaggenau AL200190 table fan in 90 cm width.

Siemens glassdraft Air table fan
The Siemens glassdraft Air table fan elegantly showcases the cooktop extractor. The glass downdraft fan sits behind the cooktop and efficiently and quietly extracts all cooking smells and fumes. The glass plate can be pulled out and illuminated according to your personal color preferences. The glass extractor glassdraft Air from Siemens can be combined with all Siemens iQ700 cooktops with a width of 80 cm.

Bosch accent line glass table fan
The Bosch accent line glass table fan has a high-performance motor with Guided Air technology, an air quality sensor and controllable LED effect lighting. The glass plate of the cooktop extractor is illuminated from below using an LED module, creating wonderful moments of light while you cook. The color red is set as standard. But if that doesn't appeal to you, you can choose your favorite color from a large palette. You can choose all RGB colors for the cooktop lighting using the Home Connect app. Very practical: the last color set is saved for the next use, so you don't have to keep resetting your favorite color.

Neff Collection glass table fan
A special feature of the glass downdraft extractor from the Neff Collection is the version with SeamlessCombination®. The hob and extractor hood merge into one unit. Although they are actually two devices, they look as if they were made from one piece. The glass downdraft extractor requires very little space when installing the entire hob extractor. The motor can be moved up to three meters, as well as to the side or back. This means that there are usually no problems when planning the kitchen. In addition, the first drawer under the hob can still be used with the installation, which is an obstacle with some hob extractors.
The Neff Collection table fan is available in 80 cm and 90 cm widths.
