Three appliance trends that already have us excited!
Recently unveiled at IFA 2026 in Berlin and soon to arrive in our homes—here is an overview of the three kitchen appliance trends for 2027 that already have us excited.
AI Enters the Kitchen
Technology is designed to simplify everyday life—including cooking and baking. That is why AI is making its way into the kitchen in 2027. An increasing number of appliances are equipped with smart features or can be combined with artificial intelligence.
Miele Culinary Coach
An AI-based cooking assistant. The AI learns what is to be cooked via text, voice, or photo, guides you through the preparation process, and transmits all information to the oven—the Miele app is required.
Siemens AI oven with dish recognition
The smart oven recognizes your favorite dishes and automatically prepares them using the optimal settings. Using the oven camera, dishes are photographed and saved as favorites—including the program, temperature, duration, and additional options. There is also a range of preset dishes to choose from.
Miele G8 dishwasher
An AI-powered dishwasher with a camera that analyzes the interior and adjusts its cleaning performance accordingly.
Smart Dishwasher with Camera
We are already familiar with kitchen appliances featuring cameras (such as ovens or refrigerators). The new innovation for 2027 is a smart dishwasher with a camera—specifically, the Miele G8 Diamond dishwasher. Thanks to its "AutoVision" feature, the appliance knows how full it is and what is inside. It then adjusts settings such as cleaning intensity accordingly.
Additional features:
- ExcellentDry: New hot-air system with three selectable drying levels that ensure dishes are thoroughly dried.
- AutoDos with PowerDisk: Automatic dispensing system – the AutoDos function automatically selects the correct dosage of the granular detergent in the PowerDisk to match the selected program.
- Enhanced cutlery tray: Can now be lowered, allowing coffee cups to fit into the top (third) tray as well.
Efficiency and Consumption
Another major theme among 2027 kitchen trends is the efficiency and sustainable consumption of electrical appliances. The Bosch Green Collection is a particularly interesting highlight in this regard. These kitchen appliances are made largely from recycled materials and are produced with a low carbon footprint.

Kitchen Color Trends for 2027
Warm colors, natural materials, and soothing color combinations—the trends for 2027 create a cozy, inviting kitchen atmosphere. We will frequently see tone-on-tone combinations, matte black appliances, natural hues such as beige, sand, brown, and olive green, as well as wood tones. These include, in particular, dark woods and warm wood finishes, paired with natural stone and matte surfaces.
New Color Palette from Smeg
We look forward to a new matte color palette for the iconic Smeg FAB28 refrigerator in 2027! For instance, the range will include these matte shades:
