Miele Innovations 2023 at a Glance
Miele’s innovations for autumn and winter 2023 focus primarily on sustainability. The German quality brand emphasizes top energy efficiency classes, high-quality materials, and durable products. Starting from September 2022, a number of new products will be released. These include new freestanding refrigerators, KMDA cooktop extractor fans, and steam ovens.
Additionally, already established products have been refined and enhanced. For example, the Miele TwoInOne cooktop now features a quieter motor, the induction cooktop has a harder surface, and the steam oven is equipped with a fully automated self-cleaning function.
The Miele PerfectFresh Active Refrigerator
Starting in September 2022, Miele introduces new refrigerators. The K400 is a new cooling series featuring a fine mist of cold air, which we have already highlighted among the best kitchen appliances of 2022. The PerfectFresh Active freshness mist sprays a fine cooling fog onto food, keeping it fresh and crisp for up to 5 times longer. The freestanding refrigerators also come with FlexiLight 2.0 — an intelligent, customizable lighting system that allows you to position the light exactly where you need it.
The Miele Diamond Cooktop with Scratch-Resistant Surface
Also new are the Miele induction cooktops featuring DiamondFinish. This premium and durable coating is exceptionally hard, significantly reducing scratches on the surface. This special form of ceramic glass is one of the hardest surfaces available on the market, being twice as hard as conventional ceramic glass. Surface damage is reduced by up to 70%.
The Miele KMDA Silence - KMDA 7272 and KMDA 7473
A highlight in 2022 is also the Miele TwoInOne Cooktop – a perfect combination of an induction cooktop and an integrated range hood. The cooktop extractor is equipped with a new Silence Motor, which operates extremely quietly while still providing high fan performance. Both the extractor and the cooktop settings can be controlled centrally via the Miele ComfortSelect Plus control panel. The two new models, KMDA 7272 Silence and KMDA 7473 Silence, will be available starting December 2022.
The Miele HydroClean Oven
n 2022, Miele introduced a new steam oven with self-cleaning capabilities for baking and steam cooking enthusiasts. Thanks to Miele HydroClean, the cooking chamber of the Miele Steam Oven PRO cleans itself fully automatically. This is achieved using a liquid cleaner developed by Miele, which mixes with fresh water and cleans the chamber via a rotating spray arm. Additionally, the 3-in-1 steam oven combines multiple functions in one appliance: traditional baking, steam cooking, and combination cooking are all possible with this innovative kitchen device.
The Miele DGC HC PRO steam oven was launched in December 2022.
The Miele Smart Food ID
The oven with a built-in camera (Miele FoodView) has been available for quite some time. However, the latest innovation is the Miele Smart Food ID, an intelligent assistance system already launched in other countries. The camera in the AI-enabled oven automatically identifies food items and adjusts the cooking settings accordingly. New in 2022 is the ability to share high-resolution images directly on social media platforms. This means your roast can go viral straight from the oven!
This feature will be introduced in Germany in 2023.
