The design duo Dolce & Gabbana continues its successful collaboration with the Italian appliance manufacturer Smeg. Starting with the small appliance series "Sicily is my love," followed by "Divina Cucina" in 2019 with refrigerators, cooking centers, and wall hoods in Carretto design, then "Majolika," also featuring the popular Retro Refrigerator Fab28 and the Victoria gas range, and in 2023, the limited edition "Blue Mediterraneo." All Smeg special editions with Dolce & Gabbana feature traditional Sicilian motifs, bringing a touch of summer into the kitchen. Smeg x Dolce & Gabbana Majolika: Stove & Refrigerator in Blue-White Motif
With the Majolika decor, Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana celebrate traditional Sicilian cuisine. Majolika refers to brightly painted ceramic vessels and tiles. The Italian brands are now bringing this decor to refrigerators, stoves, and range hoods. They rely on traditional colors of white and blue.
Smeg Majolika FAB28 Refrigerator
At the center of the special collection is the famous Smeg Retro refrigerator in 50s style – the FAB28. It appears in simple blue on a white background. The refrigerator door is painted with a Greek temple, framed by stylized lines in Majolika style. On the left side of the refrigerator, an elaborately crafted coastal landscape appears, and – typical of Sicily – acanthus leaves. On the right side, the designers have immortalized the birthplace of the writer Luigi Pirandello.
Technically, the FAB28 refrigerator from Smeg x Dolce & Gabbana impresses with a 244-liter interior, a 0° drawer, energy-saving LED lighting, and excellent energy efficiency.
Smeg Majolika Victoria Stove & Wall Range Hood
The special edition is complemented by a Victoria gas range (TR90DGMD9) and a matching range hood. The Smeg cooking center is decorated with Sicilian landscape scenes on both sides, while the front features traditional Majolika patterns. Technically, the Smeg Victoria stove is equipped with 5 gas burners and an extra-wide multifunction oven with a 115-liter capacity. It is 90 cm wide. The Smeg wall hood showcases a temple ruin, surrounded by leaves and vines.
Smeg x Dolce & Gabbana Divina Cucina: Stove & Refrigerator in Carretto Design
Divina Cucina by luxury brands Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg is a vibrant kitchen appliance ensemble featuring the bright colors of the South – red and orange. In this special edition, the refrigerator, cooking center, and range hood are enhanced. The Carretto design was inspired by Dante's epic Divine Comedy and is an ode to the Italian homeland of the designers.
Smeg Divina Cucina FAB28 Refrigerator
The Smeg Fab28 Retro refrigerator recalls old Sicilian craftsmanship. The central eye-catcher is a wooden cart wheel, reminiscent of the time when traveling merchants transported citrus fruits and ice blocks with their horse-drawn carts. In addition, bright yellow borders representing the Italian sun and a paradise garden with lemons, prickly pears, pomegranates, grapes, and oranges awaken the appetite for juicy southern fruits – which, by the way, can be perfectly stored in the Life Plus 0°C freshness drawer in the refrigerator.
Smeg Divina Cucina Victoria Stove & Wall Range Hood
As in the previous Smeg special collection, the Divina Cucina series also features a cooking center from the Victoria series by Dolce & Gabbana. The 90 cm wide gas stove also incorporates the cart motif, combining folkloric symbols, star-shaped flowers, and colorful diamonds. The SMEG range hood is decorated with a Sicilian prickly pear cactus, surrounded by leaves and flowers. Technically, the Smeg Divina Cucina range hood impresses with an air flow performance of up to 820 m³/h, three power levels plus an intensive mode, and multi-layer stainless steel filters.
Smeg x Dolce & Gabbana Sicily is my love: Kitchen Appliances in Sicilian Style
The first joint collection by Smeg and Dolce & Gabbana was the small appliance series "Sicily is my love." It has become so popular that items like the toaster, coffee machine, and more are now considered collector's items. The exclusive home appliance collection includes a kettle, toaster, blender, food processor, citrus press, and a classic espresso machine with a portafilter – all painted with typical Sicilian patterns and colors. For example, fiery red like Mount Etna or green like the native acanthus leaves.

Golden-yellow lemons, oranges, and fiery red cherries—the fruits of the Mediterranean region spark a craving for summer just by looking at them. The duo drew inspiration from the mythology and daily life of the Mediterranean island. Lush leaves and flowers entwine around a baroque water spout, and elegantly curved acanthus leaves frame an intricate cart motif.
When it comes to coffee enjoyment, the Smeg coffee machine impresses with three filter inserts for freshly ground beans or convenient coffee pods. It brews aromatic espresso, as well as cappuccino or latte macchiato with frothy milk.
