Quooker – a name that continually sets trends in the kitchen. (Although it is often mistakenly referred to as qooker, quoker, cooker, or kuka. 😂) The world’s first boiling water tap has become an essential and trendy kitchen tool since its invention in the 1970s. It provides all the types of water needed in the kitchen: hot, cold, 100°C boiling, sparkling, filtered, and still water. All the information you need about the Quooker tap (models, costs, functionality, and more) is compiled here in the Mykitchens Magazine.
How does Quooker work?
The Quooker system consists of a tap on the countertop and a reservoir installed underneath the kitchen cabinet. This reservoir ensures that boiling hot water (at 100°C) can flow out of the regular tap. Because the Quooker reservoir is very well insulated (similar to a thermos bottle), heat cannot escape. As a result, the system requires very little energy, using only about 10 watts per hour.

The right Quooker reservoir for the faucet
The Quooker system consists of not only a faucet but also two parts: the faucet on the countertop and a reservoir located in the cabinet underneath (often beneath the sink). Depending on the conditions in your kitchen, different Quooker reservoirs may be suitable for you.

Quooker PRO3
The Quooker PRO3 provides 3 liters of boiling water. This reservoir can be used anywhere a hot water connection is available.

Quooker COMBI
The larger reservoir is the COMBI. It provides 7 liters of boiling water or 15 liters of warm water (60°C) instantly. It is the best alternative to traditional kitchen boilers or water heaters.

Quooker COMBI+
The COMBI+ is similar to the Quooker COMBI, but it can be connected to both the cold water line and the hot water line.

Quooker CUBE for Sparkling Water
The Quooker CUBE is the perfect addition to the water reservoir. It provides all types of water: sparkling cold, still, warm, 100°C boiling, and filtered drinking water. The water quality is comparable to that of traditional bottled water.
- CO2 cylinder for sparkling water (approx. 60 liters)
- Hollow Fiber filter for filtered water (models until September 2021)
- Optional activated carbon water filter (models from September 2021)
- Dimensions: 500 x 223 x 340 mm (H x W x D)
- Standby consumption: 5 W/h
- Power: 100 W
- Still water capacity: 2.4 liters/min
- Sparkling water capacity: 2 liters/min
Price & Costs of Quooker
The Quooker system consists of multiple components, so you’re paying not only for the faucet itself but also for the reservoir you choose. Naturally, the more features the Quooker faucet offers, the higher the price. The classic models (Flex & Fusion) in basic colors (Chrome & Stainless Steel) are the most affordable. Opting for a more exclusive color increases the price, but not significantly.
The choice of Quooker reservoir also affects the total cost. The PRO3 is slightly cheaper than the COMBI and COMBI+. When paired with the Quooker CUBE, the costs of the Quooker system increase further. For example, a Quooker Flex in Black with the COMBI+ reservoir and the CUBE will cost more than twice as much as the same model in Chrome with the PRO3.
In conclusion, a Quooker in its basic variants is suitable for ordinary kitchens. However, for the premium segment, the many additional features and color options are ideal.

The benefits of the Quooker tap
Here are five good reasons why investing in one is worth it.

Advantage #1: The Quooker is versatile
Brew tea, make filter coffee, disinfect masks, sterilize pacifiers and baby bottles, fill boiling water for pasta – all this and more can be done with a Quooker tap (depending on the model).

Advantage #2: The Quooker saves energy, water, and time
With the Quooker tap, you can instantly get boiling water or cold, sparkling water. It saves a lot of time in daily kitchen tasks. In addition to time, a Quooker tap also helps save water and energy in the kitchen. It dispenses exactly the amount needed, no more and no less. The energy consumption of the CUBE system is comparable to cooling a bottle of water in the fridge.

Advantage #3: The Quooker is safe
No risk of burns or misuse. Thanks to sophisticated safety features such as the child-safe control button and the light ring, the Quooker is safe to use. It has a double-walled spout that doesn't heat up, allowing it to be touched safely. When boiling water is dispensed, a red light on the ring illuminates. Additionally, the water stream is shaped like a droplet and has a mist-like effect, preventing burns if you happen to come into contact with hot water.

Advantage #4: The Quooker is space-saving
No need for a kettle, bottled water storage, or empty bottles – a single device for all water needs helps keep countertops and kitchens tidy.

Advantage #5: The Quooker ensures good water quality
With the Quooker, you also get purified drinking water. An activated carbon filter in the Quooker reservoir and a hollow fiber filter in the CUBE clean the water from the tap. Additionally, the water is "boiled" as it is stored at 108°C in the reservoir.
